Choose Your Soaking Bathtub, Then Define the Dimensions
A soaking bathtub is designed around immersion and a comfortable bathing position. At Lux4home™, it is not a fixed size or a separate material: any bathtub model in our catalogue can be made as a soaking bathtub. Choose the stone and shape you like, then tell us how you want to use it.
The photographs and dimensions on the product pages are starting points for discussion. Your order can have different proportions, including an external height of up to 120 cm (approximately 47 inches). A taller exterior does not automatically mean a deeper water level: the interior, base thickness, seating arrangement and drainage design must be considered together.
What Can You Customise?
Planning your made-to-order stone soaking tub
| Design element | What to agree for your project |
| Starting model | Any catalogue bathtub model can be adapted for soaking. Choose a preferred shape and natural stone appearance. |
| External height | Made to your requirements, up to 120 cm. This is the outside height, not the depth of water. |
| Length and width | Specify the available space and your preferred proportions rather than relying only on a catalogue example. |
| Interior and bathing position | Discuss legroom, back support and whether you prefer reclining or a more upright seated soak. Ask about an integrated stone seat if required. |
| Intended water level | Agree the usable bathing depth separately, together with the seat height, drain and any overflow arrangement. |
| Stone and finish | Discuss river stone, marble, granite or onyx, the desired colour and the interior and exterior finish for the selected design. |
These are project choices, not a claim that every pictured bathtub already has the same depth, capacity or seating layout. The final specification is agreed for the individual order.
Soaking Depth Is Different from Overall Height
External height measures the outside of the bathtub from its base to the rim. Interior depth is measured inside the bowl. Usable water depth depends on the intended waterline, which sits below the rim and may be limited by an overflow. Where a seat is included, its height also changes how much of the body is immersed.
For a deep soaking tub, start with the bathing position you want. A longer interior may suit a reclining bath; a more upright, Japanese-style soak calls for a different relationship between the seat and waterline. Share the intended users’ heights and whether the tub is for one or two bathers. Greater outside height alone does not guarantee shoulder-deep immersion or comfortable space for two.
Natural Stone, Shaped for Your Bathing Space
Lux4home™ carves its stone bathtubs from solid natural stone. River stone offers an individual boulder shape and natural exterior, while other stone choices provide different colours, patterns and finishes. The same visual design can be developed with proportions suited to your preferred soak.
For a freestanding soaking bathtub, allow space around the rim and plan how you will enter and leave the bath. If your project calls for an integrated seat, a recessed installation or an outdoor setting, include that in the brief so the design can be considered as a whole. Outdoor suitability and winter care should be agreed for the chosen stone and installation conditions.
What to Send Us for a Quote
- Your preferred model or reference photograph, stone and finish.
- The available length, width and height, with a room plan if you have one.
- Your preferred bathing position, intended users’ heights and whether one or two people will use the tub.
- The desired water level and any request for a seat, drain position or overflow.
- The installation setting, delivery destination and access information.
Ask for a quotation for your particular dimensions and quantity. Where a product price is described as a wholesale starting price, it is not a confirmed price for an individually specified bathtub delivered to your address. Request confirmation of the bathtub price, transport scope and production schedule for your order.
For practical preparation, see our stone bathtub installation and planning questions. A deep stone bath also needs a plan for its filled weight, access and plumbing; discuss the final specification with your installer.
Soaking Bathtubs: Questions About Custom Orders
Can any Lux4home™ bathtub be made as a soaking tub?
Yes. Any catalogue bathtub model can be made as a soaking bathtub. The catalogue design is the starting point; dimensions and the interior are agreed for your order.
How tall can a custom soaking bathtub be?
We can make a bathtub with an external height of up to 120 cm (approximately 47 inches). Specify the height you want for your project. This figure is not a statement of the usable water depth.
How do I choose the right soaking depth?
Describe how you want to sit or recline, your height and the level of immersion you prefer. The waterline, internal dimensions and any seat should be agreed together. There is no single depth that gives every bather the same experience.
Can I request a Japanese-style soaking tub with a seat?
Yes, you can request a more upright bathing layout and an integrated stone seat. Discuss the seat dimensions, legroom and waterline as part of the individual design rather than assuming these features are included in every photographed model.
Can I order a soaking bathtub for two people?
Yes, a two-person layout can be discussed as a made-to-order design. Provide the intended users’ heights and preferred positions so the internal space can be considered, rather than choosing by external length alone.
Are the photographs a limit on the size I can order?
No. They illustrate catalogue designs and stone appearances. Tell us the dimensions and soaking experience you want, even if the photographed example has different proportions.
