Choosing pebble walls for an apartment -------------------------------------- The [Maluku Tan pebble mosaic](https://www.lux4home.com/p/pebble-maluku-tan/) shown here combines naturally varied tones. To decide whether it suits your room, compare several sheets beside your flooring, cabinetry and wall paint. A single pebble or a photograph cannot show the full variation across a larger surface. ### Use a sample panel to choose the finished effect Review a grouted sample in daylight and under the room’s intended lamps. Check it from the entrance and from the main seating position. Grout is part of the visible design: a similar tone can soften the pattern, while a contrasting colour draws attention to each stone. For practical layout considerations, see our [guide to pebble sheet joins and grout](https://www.lux4home.com/white-pebble-tile/). ### Decide where the texture starts and ends Draw the boundaries of the feature wall before ordering. Include sockets, switches, skirting, door frames and junctions with adjacent finishes. The installer should confirm the finished thickness and edge treatment so the relief does not obstruct fittings. Choosing a defined area can help you compare the pebble texture with the quieter surfaces around it. Wall and floor applications need separate checks. Do not infer wet-floor suitability or a slip rating from this apartment’s wall photographs. Confirm the exact mosaic, substrate and installation system for the intended location. The practical questions for a restaurant are different again; our [Tokyo Sushi pebble-wall project](https://www.lux4home.com/white-pebble-tiles-on-walls/) discusses edges, lighting and cleaning access in a commercial interior. ### Prepare a clear enquiry for your mosaic Send the net wall area, a sketch with openings, the desired colour and the installation location. Ask the installer to calculate cutting and spare-material allowances for that layout rather than assuming one percentage suits every wall. Compare the [Lux4home pebble tiles collection](https://www.lux4home.com/pebble-tiles/) and discuss samples and available formats directly with us before ordering. Retain an agreed sample as a reference for the intended appearance. ![Mariusz Tres](https://www.lux4home.com/wp-content/gallery/2024/04/Blog-Avatar-300x300.jpeg "Luxury apartment with pebble tiles on walls 11") ###### Mariusz Tres Mariusz Tres, the founder of Lux4home™ brand, is a passionate designer of natural stone products with over a decade of experience.
